Sustainable Oregon Awards
The Sustainable Oregon Awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions in the field of materials management in Oregon. AOR's Sustainable Oregon Awards are intended to be peer nominated, and as such, self-nominations will not be considered for award.
Awards will be presented at the Sustainable Oregon Conference in Bend, June 23-25th
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 18TH, 2025
AOR is looking for nominees that demonstrate the following (note that not all may apply to your nominee):
- Significant or outstanding accomplishments in recycling, waste prevention, reuse, or other sustainable materials management initiatives.
- Actions that went above and beyond the normal scope of duties and resulted in significantly reducing solid waste or having furthered recycling, waste prevention, reuse, composting, and/or other elements of materials management.
- Produced economic benefits in terms of reduced costs to businesses, organizations, or the public.
- Demonstrated transferability or replicability of materials management programs, processes, or efforts.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
