Washington County Solid Waste & Recycling Division is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will implement the team's new recycling contamination reduction program and help coordinate the team's other community outreach activities. You will lead a team of community outreach specialists, ensure compliance with program requirements, assist with program reporting, and help develop the contamination reduction expansion strategy. This role requires strong program/project management skills, experience collecting and analyzing data, and ability to lead a team consisting of various backgrounds while centering the needs of the community it serves.

The City of Vancouver, Washington, is currently recruiting for a Solid Waste Analyst. The primary responsibilities for the job are to coordinate assigned programs and functions in support of the City’s efforts to deliver high quality and economical solid waste and recycling services to residents and businesses in Vancouver. Areas of assigned responsibility include neighborhood programs (coordinating cleanup and chipper days, spring and fall coupons); technical assistance to commercial, multi-family, and mixed-use customers; review and assist with triaging code compliance concerns stemming from garbage disposal code (VMC 6.12); and provide data analysis and support for planning and contract management efforts. Coordination with the Public Works information/communications team, regional and private partners, and the contracted hauler or internal partners (Code Compliance, Special Events) to assure that solid waste and recycling programs and city-specific or regional solid waste messages, outreach, and education/promotional strategies are effective and clearly communicate program information to the public. The Analyst provides customer services on a range of program related topics, and plans and manages special projects as needed, and support programs or assignments as directed by supervisor, led by other program staff or partners.
